About the Artist
Kathryn Parenti is child of Italian immigrants and Illinois farmers. She is an artist and art educator living and working in the Chicago area. Her current artistic investigations revolve around aspects of the self, the natural world, and connections and relationships within the context of time. Working with a vocabulary of personal symbolism, Parenti seeks out a relationship of concept, process, and medium. With a painting background, Parenti currently works in ceramics, mixed media, and fiber arts showing locally, internationally, and online. When not deeply involved in a creative process, you can find her hugging trees, family, and her dog. . .and helping other humans with their art.
